How Long Is Five Minutes? by Arron Magar

Written while Arron Magar was incarcerated in prison, How Long Is Five Minutes? tells the story of Magar’s early life in the foster care system, living as a street kid, doing drugs and small-time crimes, and his eventual incarceration in youth authority, county jails, and prisons. All the while maintaining a philosophical viewpoint on family, religion, friendship, and crime and punishment. Magar’s idiosyncratic style and detailed observations make for a rarely heard first person perspective account that covers a string of topics and issues impacting and challenging society today.

It is the second book in the Same Time series and features an afterword by Laura Moulton and cover artwork by Chris Johanson.
